Team Fridley! Fundraising for 2012 Roof Raiser
Team Fridley fundraising for Lee Carlson Center for Mental Health and Well Being
We're raising $ and awareness for mental health
Great News! We've met our goal and Mayor Lund will be staying home this year. However, he has pledged to continue his fundraising efforts for the Lee Carlson Center up to 7:00pm on October 12th because simply; it's not enough.
There is a GREAT need for funding at the Lee Carlson Center. Their youth prevention programs are integrated in many schools throughout Anoka County, and are offered for free. They also provide a sliding fee, so that no one is turned away from help because of lack of insurance coverage, or their inability to pay outright.
They provide the only adult drop-in center, Bridgeview, where adults can get the help and resources they need immediately at no cost, to maintain their mental health.
We're still looking for players. WILL YOU JOIN TEAM FRIDLEY?
Please join us to celebrate at Bob's Produce in Fridley, on Friday October 12th from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Food, music, Mayor Lund and other dignitaries will be present to support the works and staff at Lee Carlson Center.

Team Fridley, spearheaded by Fridley Mayor, Scott Lund, is proud to be a 2012 RoofRaiser for Lee Carlson Center for Mental Health & Well-Being, a clinic and non-profit.
The Mayor has been an advocate for the Lee Carlson Center for many years, understanding the importance of the services they provide to our community. This is his fourth year as a Roof Raiser.
The Mayor has pledged to raise $5,000 for the Lee Carlson Center.
If by Friday, October 12th we don't raise $5,000, the Mayor will sleep on the roof of BoB's Produce in Fridley.
This is the first year he has the opportunity to "earn" his way off the roof for the night, and he will work very hard to stay home!
We invite you to be a part of Team Fridley by donating any amount, and helping to spread the word.
Thank you.

For over 30 years, the Center has been a beacon of hope for people coping with mental health issues. Each year, they help over 4,000 youth and families from Anoka County and surrounding areas.
RoofRaiser funds help offset costs for the many uninsured and underinsured (60%) of the clients they serve.
Dolllars raised also fund the free support groups Lee Carlson Center provides to 1,500 at-risk youth in over 20 schools in our area. These are kids and teens who probably would never get mental health treatment without access through their school. Participants are youth who are at risk for truancy, depression, school failure, and criminal behaviors due to chaotic home situations.
