Team Arlington rides in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice through honoring survivors.
On May 9th we will be setting out on an annual bicycle ride with Law Enforcement United (L.E.U.) to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. These comrades in blue made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their communities.
This year's team consists of five Arlington County Police officers who will be riding for those who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2013. The 3 day ride will cover 250+ miles from Virginia Beach, Virginia to Washington, D.C. Once in D.C., we will join other L.E.U. chapters as part of the 2014 National Police Week.
This event proves to be an emotional week where we reflect upon the losses suffered by the law enforcement community. All proceeds aid in raising awareness of and providing monetary support to Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and Officer Down Memorial Page (O.D.M.P.).
COPS is a non-profit organization that, among other things, provides counseling for the children of fallen police officers.
ODMP is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the legacies of fallen officers so that they are not forgotten. ODMP accomplishes this through their never-ending research efforts and online memorials.
Thank you for your generosity and support!!
