No matter what your political leanings or personal philosophy: the mission of Cincinnati Works is vital to our city on all levels. Welfare recipients work toward independence; young adults leaving the foster care system are given a helping hand; gang members are guided toward a more productive life.
I know that, particularly at this time of year, we're all inundated with donation requests. But I believe that Cincinnati Works is incredibly deserving of your generosity this year. The funds raised will help (number) of proactive individuals living in poverty to work their way into mainstream society. The long-term goal is that they become productive contributors to the lifeblood of our city.
