I run on the power of possibility -- not only what's possible for me, but for 4,000 kids served by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester.
I'm going to run the Boston Marathon. Why? Because I'm not a runner. At least, that's what I always told myself.
But the other thing I've always told myself is to believe in the power of possibility. Is it possible for me to run 26.2 miles? Yes, it is. So I will. And I'll do it to raise money for 4,000 kids in Boston so they can believe in possibility, too.
They can't do it without me, at least in part. And I can't do it without you. Am I willing to foot the bill for this alone? Yes, because it means that much to me. But it also means so much to me that I'll ask friends, and perfect strangers, to help.
So please give what you can, even if that's a cheer along the way. Because you can. Because I can. Because we all believe in the power of possibility.
My partner in training and in life, Tom, will also be running with me. He's added a few extra incentives to the gift levels. :)
