TALMUD TORAH OF ST PAUL

A Jewish educational community where critical thinking and Jewish values intersect.

By now most of us have seen at least parts of the Pew Report on the demographics of the American Jewish community.  In response to that report, Yossi Prager, President of the Avi Chai Foundation said,

That which is continually diluted will eventually disappear. Along these same lines, we should measure the likely success of [educational] programs based on whether they offer the intensive and immersive education needed to give participants an understanding of the power and beauty of Jewish values and practices. Anything less will fail to give participants sufficient motivation to make the commitment of time, energy and money needed for engaged Jewish life.

Our programs offer a vibrant Jewish environment in which to study and experience Torah, Hebrew, song, story, celebration and service to community.  TTSP is a community school, not affiliated with any branch of Judaism or congregation.  We are composed of and welcome families of diverse backgrounds.

Your contribution to TTSP will support the Annette Newman Day School / Gayle Johnson Cohen Preschool (Pre-Kindergarten through grade 5) and the George Kaplan Afternoon School (grades 2-12).

The Day School offers a full program of general and Jewish studies.  Its students experience a rich, integrated and experiential curriculum. With our enviable student to teachers ratio our dynamic and professional teachers personalize the curriculum to meet the needs of each student.

The Afternoon School/Midrasha is the only community-based Jewish supplementary school in St. Paul. Under the guidance of nurturing and professional teachers and within a community of their peers our students experience a deep and substantive education in Hebrew and Jewish texts.  Our program features the College in the Schools (CIS) Hebrew Program through which our high school students can receive both high school and college credit for their studies at TTSP.

TTSP is committed to providing an outstanding education to every child in our community without regard to ability to pay.  We are committed to ensuring that every child can receive a Jewish education at TTSP.
