Take-Up Productions operates the Trylon, a nonprofit community-supported "micro" cinema, screening classic, independent and foreign film.

Digital cinema projection (DCP) is becoming the norm for movie theaters around the country, even for cinemas that screen classic films like those shown at the Trylon, Heights and Riverview. 35mm screenings will always be our first choice, and we’re proud to have solid Century 35mm equipment and skilled projectionists who love working with film.

However, we're beginning to see newly restored classics emerge that are available only in the DCP format, and because of this, we've decided to expand our capabilities, to bring you the best movies on 16mm, 35mm, and DCP. This way, there will be no limit to what the Trylon can bring you!

Our goal is to install digital projection by the summer of 2015. Our plan is to raise money via Give to the Max this year and next, as well as from grants and, most importantly, from the loyalty of filmgoers like yourself, through ticket and concession sales.

The 2014 Trylon Give to the Max DCP Campaign is the first step toward bringing digital projection to your favorite microcinema. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the movies!

Take-Up is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we're asking for your tax deductible donation to continue to improve our cinema and expand our programming. Whether you show your support by volunteering, donating funds, or even just attending a single show--we thank you for considering pitching in to share the movies we all love.
