I am running 10k in this year's Jerusalem Marathon to raise funds and awareness for The Shira Pransky Project.
The Shira Pransky Foundation assists Israeli health and social service organizations reach English-speakers with support by translating and publicizing their content, and offerring other help in matters of English accessibility.
Healthcare can be intimidating and confusing, especially in times of personal health crisis. This is particularly true for immigrants, who struggle more in navigating unfamiliar bureaucracy and language barriers. The Shira Pransky Foundation exists to address the frustrations of the English speaking Oleh, before, during and after difficult times.
All funds raised by our running team will go towards translations of healthcare related content for publishing on Israeli organizations' websites, in print, and on shirapranskyproject.org, as well as other initiatives to make services and relief more accessible the Israeli English speaking public.
The Central Fund of Israel is The Shira Pransky Foundation's fiscal sponsor, transferring 100% of raised funds to the SPP Israeli nonprofit.
