SUMMIT LAND CONSERVANCY
The Summit Land Conservancy is a local land trust dedicated to saving open space in Park City and Summit County, Utah.
The Summit Land Conservancy works in partnership with landowners to permanently protect the remaining agricultural lands, viewsheds, animal habitats, waterways, and rangelands in Park City and Summit County, Utah.
The Summit Land Conservancy focuses its resources and attentions strictly on Summit County. For many years Summit County was one of the fastest growing counties in America. This growth provided many opportunities, but many people feared that we would lose the open spaces that defined our community character. The Summit Land Conservancy was born from the desire to protect these important landscapes.
The Summit Land Conservancy holds 19 conservation easements on over 2,400 acres of open space, and is currently working on projects to save an additional 4,000 acres of land.
Recently awarded with accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, the Summit Land Conservancy is one of only 135 accredited land trusts in the country.
We encourage you to become a member of the Summit Land Conservancy today to help protect the open spaces, the farms and ranches, the watersheds and wildlife habitats that make Summit County the special place we all cherish.
Your contribution means that the open spaces we currently enjoy stay open and accessible and that more of the beautiful landscapes of Summit County will be permanently protected.
