Support Ewing's sarcoma research in memory of Michael Lio.
The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative is pleased to partner with Strike Out Sarcoma to fund Ewing's sarcoma research in memory of Michael Lio. Michael passed away at the age of 22 after a courageous 14 month battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. Ewing's sarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that often strikes children and young adults.
Michael's family and friends have become "Michael's Angels" and are working to collaborate on fundraising and awareness events. They have organized many successful events, including an annual "Strike Out Sarcoma Night" at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The New York Mets star slugger 1st baseman, Ike Davis, was a friend of Michael's and has been a wonderful supporter of these events.
