HVES Mrs. Stonerook's Fifth Grade Class

We asked Ms. Stonerook’s students, if they could be any character in a book, which character would they like to be? Here are their responses.

I would like to be Violet in The Series of Unfortunate Events because she is an inventor and I want to be an inventor. She’s smart and she makes inventions out of ordinary materials.

I would like to be Sunny because she is small and a baby. She has 4 sharp teeth and likes to bite anything hard.

I want to be Klaus because he is smart; he always reads and his mind is like a dictionary. He can explain any complicated word to his sisters and friends.

I would want to be their Uncle Monty because he is a herpetologist. He has lots of snakes.

The character I want to be in Cirque du Freak is Lartin Crespley. He is one of the main characters and he helps another main character out a lot in the story.

I would want to be Margaret in How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found Again. She is one of the main characters and she finds out how her father died.

In the Geronimo Stilton series, I would like to be Geronimo because he is an adventurer, even though he is kind of an indoor person. When his friends come, he winds up going on many adventures with them because he is a good friend.

Thea Stilton is another character I would like to be because she is the one who makes Geronimo go on most of these adventures. She’s interested in fashion, comes up with unusual ideas, and attends the Mouseford Academy and has her own adventure series.

I would want to be Batty in The Penderwicks series because she is adorable, funny, and silly. She has a really old dog named Hound who has human reactions and acts like a person. She has three awesome sisters.

In The Island of the Blue Dolphins, I would like to be Karana because she is independent and strong.

I would like to be in the book, Bionicle Chronicles. I would like to Toa Mata because even though it’s fiction, I am like that character.

In the Spiderwick Chronicles, I would like to be the Thimbletack because he is small like a mouse and he is funny. When he doesn’t get what he wants, he gets really mad and turns into a monster.
