The Michael Lisnow Respite Center is a place which provides emotional & physical support for persons with disabilities & their families.

My name is Stephanie Peterson and I am supporting the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center through my run in the 2012 Boston Marathon as a member of TEAM EMC. The Center provides an important service to persons with disabilities, as well as their families, throughout the Greater Boston Area.

I recently joined EMC in the Minneapolis office as an Account Manager. Immediately, I felt the passion my co-workers had for not only the company and the technologies we represent, but also the communities we live in. As an avid runner and triathlete I am always looking to participate in races which benefit people who aren't able to race. The opportunity to represent EMC and support a very worthwhile organization by running in the most prestigious marathon in the world is a dream come true.

Headquartered in Boston, EMC has selected to partner with The Boston Athletic Association and The Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center to raise funds and awareness for the services the Center provides. Programs include weekend camps, after-school programs, adult day programs and employment support for persons with disabilities are just a few of the multitude of programs the Center provides.

I will run alongside 19 other EMC team members, and the money we raise will contribute 100% to the scholarships supporting families who are unable to cover the costs associated with assisted care.

Please review the suggested donation amounts and what that money will fund as you make your contribution.

Thank you for your support, both financially and emotionally, as I begin the training journey to 26.2 miles!
