I've worked for CHOICE, Inc. for almost 10 years. This is our first year participating in The Made in the Shade fundraiser.

The mission of CHOICE, Inc. is to provide adults with developmental disabilities the opportunities they desire to reach their full potential in employment and personal pursuits.

CHOICE, Inc. is dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in Hennepin and Carver counties. The emphasis of CHOICE programing is to develop employment opportunities, increase vocational skills, promote community involvement, and enhance the personal well-being of each individual we serve.

What is Made in the Shade?

Made in the Shade is a non-competitive event to raise funds for non-profit agencies serving people with disabilities. Just register and gather pledges. Then, lace up your athletic shoes, tune up your bike, wheelchair, or stroller and join us on September 24, 2011, at Thomas Beach on Lake Calhoun. You’ll receive a T-shirt, snacks, and post event lunch and entertainment.
