Support our summer teams who will be going out to Cambodia, China, and Paraguay this summer!
Missionaries are not heroes who can boast in great sacrifice for God. They are the true Christian Hedonists. They know the battle cry of Christian Hedonism is missions. They have discovered a hundred times more joy and satisfaction in a life devoted to Christ and the gospel than in a life devoted to frivolous comforts and pleasures and worldly advancements. And they have taken to heart the rebuke of Jesus. Beware of a self-pitying spirit of sacrifice! Missions is gain! Hundredfold gain!
This summer, our church has the insanely huge privilege and pleasure of sending out 23 individuals out to Cambodia, China, and Paraguay! Cambodia, a war-torn land still recovering from genocide, is one of the few countries in Southeast Asia which allows evangelism. In Cambodia, the team will be working with church plants both in the villages as well as in the capital city of Phnom Penh, teaching english, assisting with local businesses, building a library, and holding a children's basketball camp. The Cambodia team will also be visiting Hagar International, a Christian non-profit dedicated to the rehabilitation and restoration of victims rescued from sex trafficking. In China, the team will be teaching music, working with children, and encouraging local leaders in their respective ministries. The Paraguay team will be working with local missionaries and churches to do outreach in rural villages, an HIV/AIDS orphanage, and missionary-run schools through VBS programs and English classes.
We are all super excited for the opportunity to share the love of Christ and the Gospel this summer. We know that we do not go alone. As one body, as one church, we labor together. Thank you so much for your prayer and support. In all that we do, may God be glorified!
