We have decided that we, the board, will wear military boots during the STA National Conference, and ask people to sponsor us to wear them. The donations will go to Wounded Wear.

Wounded Wear provides free clothing and clothing modifications to America’s wounded warriors and American citizens, to promote awareness throughout the country of the sacrifices that wounded service members, their families, and the families of fallen service members have made in the name of Freedom; and to foster a sense of pride, camaraderie, determination, and strength of purpose, amongst them.

Wounded Wear believes that the sacrifices that built this country should never be forgotten and that those who have endured that sacrifice should be eternally recognized, honored as the heroes they are, and provided every opportunity to accomplish their American Dream, that which they sacrificed so much for, so that other Americans could accomplish theirs.

To help Wounded Wear achieve this noble mission we will wear these boots because we are forever grateful to the men and women who risk their lives to protect our county. Because they serve, we are able to live out our dreams, because they protect our most important resource, our freedom.

As we often get wrapped up in the minutia of our day and as the markets we trade in seem challenged with light volumes and continued global economic problems, we thought that by wearing these boots and talking about the needs of our wounded heroes, it might lift the spirits of our members, friends and families, and remind ourselves of the men and women who risk their lives to protect our freedom. The freedom that allows us the privilege of going to work and trading in our free markets each day.
