2012 Spring For Alexandria Community Service Day
A project of Volunteer Alexandria
The 2012 Spring for Alexandria Community Day of Service will be held May 4, 2012 from 10 am until 2 pm.
Entering its 5th year, Spring for Alexandria's Community Day of Service is a City-wide event during which 500-800 volunteers give back to the City through beautification projects. Sites include nonprofits, libraries, recreation centers and main street beautification.
Spring for Alexandria is a 4-day celebration arranged through a partnership between Volunteer Alexandria, the City of Alexandria, ACT for Alexandria, Spring2ACTion, the Alexandria Jaycees and Kids Helping Kids/Lemonaide. Our tag line is "where we work, live... give." More information on each partner can be found at SpringforAlexandria.org. The next Spring for Alexandria is on May 2, 3, 4, and 5, 2012.
On May 4, Volunteer Alexandria will host a Business Philanthropy Summit from 7:30-9:30 am which is also the opening ceremony for the Spring for Alexandria Day of Service.
Donations made here through Razoo go to support the work of Volunteer Alexandria connecting volunteers to projects at Alexandria nonprofits and organizing service days throughout the year.
Through our programs and services, we refer and place volunteers at hundreds of nonprofit organizations and city agencies. These volunteers and organizations are helping to feed families, educate children, visit seniors, clean up parks, bring tourists and community spirit to local events, and so much more.
Thank you for your involvement in Spring for Alexandria and Volunteer Alexandria throughout the year!
