Celebrating 21 years of economic and community development by artists, for artists, for all of us. Together we make transformation possible.

We're not building an organization, we're building a movement, and you are an important part.

Springboard for the Arts cultivates vibrant communities by connecting artists with the skills, information and services they need to make a living and a life. We've been doing this for 21 years, and have been recognized as a Top Nonprofit improving access to local arts and culture in Minnesota.

We operate with a sense of transformational possibility here at Springboard, and the financial support of the community is part of what makes that possible. Last year, Springboard for the Arts and our participating Incubator Fiscal Sponsorship clients raised over $43,000, which is an enormous amount of support. If you gave to us or to another nonprofit on Give to the Max Day, thank you.

This year, we are very excited to announce that thanks to the generosity of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, we have $25,000 in matching funds for programs! This is a transformational opportunity for our programs to expand the possibilities for artists, and we will only be able to take advantage of this with your help. Because we are turning 21 this year, we're going to have a little fun, and try and focus our giving into 4 Power Hours, highlighting 4 different program areas with matches.

10am -11am - Incubator Fiscal Sponsorship Clients - Our Incubator program extends a non-profit umbrella to almost 200 small organizations and projects in Minnesota, meaning more art gets made, more community is involved and more lives are changed. In this hour we will be matching $8,000 to our Incubator clients and giving out $2,000 in prizes at the end of the day. Find your favorite Incubator client and give generously to them!

11:30am - 12:30pm - VLA Legal Eagles - We’ve taken the Minnesota chapter of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and are expanding it with new staff and offerings like pop-up legal clinics, panels and workshops, helping artists get the best possible legal advice. In this hour, we have a goal of $2,500 to be matched dollar-for-dollar, enabling us to offer more new and expanded offerings to serve artists more fully.

1pm - 2pm - Irrigate - With our partners at the City of St. Paul and Twin Cities LISC, we launched the Irrigate program, bringing artists and businesses together along the Central Corridor Light Rail construction. We had planned to train 100 artists in creative placemaking, we trained 350! Their projects, which brighten the city and empower communities, continue to amaze us, and we have a goal of $10,000 to be matched dollar-for-dollar in this hour, directly supporting the vision of up to 20 artists' projects.

2:30pm - 3:30pm - Artists’ Access to Healthcare - Our critical Artists’ Access to Healthcare program continues to grow, serving over 1400 artists over the last year with flu shots, screenings, referrals and vouchers; and launching a replication kit so other communities can follow our lead. In this hour, we have a goal of $2,500 to be matched dollar-for-dollar, representing the cost of vaccinating 200 artists, or 10 emergency relief loans.

The goals are ambitious and don't worry, even if you can't make it in the power hour, you can still give to these specific programs and Springboard generally on Give to the Max Day. Your support makes these transformations possible and we hope that you will join us in continuing to cultivate vibrant communities.
