Sow the Seeds in the Sunken Garden
A project of Como Friends

Help the historic Marjorie McNeely Conservatory's Sunken Garden carry on the seasonal flower show tradition.
Sunken_garden_april_10_2009_005

Spring always comes early to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s Sunken Garden, which began hosting rotating seasonal flower shows in “the most beautiful room in Minnesota” back in 1925. While flower shows like this have faded out at other botanical gardens around the country due to the high cost of programming, the Sunken Garden’s five seasonal flower shows are still in full bloom thanks to generous supporters like you.

Your gift to this Como Friends’ “Sow the Seeds” Fundraiser can provide for the 10,000 bulbs that are planted each fall for the Spring Flower Show, poinsettias that burst into crimson and white in December, and colorful Chrysanthemums that signal the return of cold weather. Your tax-deductible contribution today can support these lush and living gardens at the free admission Marjorie McNeely Conservatory—the best place to escape a Minnesota winter.
