Southeast Area Ymca in Woodbury

This year I’ve decided to take on the challenge of helping the YMCA better serve our community. The YMCA works hard to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities by providing free and low-cost programming as well as membership assistance to our fellow residents in need. I personally want to make sure the YMCA can continue to do this for those in our community who need it most. That’s why I’m a Y Partner—I contribute each year to make sure these programs are always there for us. This year I’m taking my commitment a step farther. I’ve volunteered to share the story of the Y with my fellow members, friends and family. The YMCA means so much to me. I am a mom of three kids and have been a member of the YMCA since first moving to MInnesota in 2003. When we first moved the Y was the one place for my kids to play, swim, take a class while I could work out, talk to other people, and have a few minutes to myself. It became a community of friendly faces for our family - one we all thoroughly enjoyed. Now that my kids have grown a little older they enjoy even more of the activities including the summer camps which they will do again this year. I have seen how it helps so many others.
