The mission of the South Dakota Community Foundation is to promote philanthropy, receive and administer charitable givts and invest in a wide range of programs promoting the social and economic well-being of the people of South Dakota. For over two decades, the South Dakota Community Foundation has worked with donors from across the state to meet their philanthropic goals. By connecting nonprofit and charitable organizations with financial supporters, the South Dakota Community Foundation has helped build the financial strength of the nonprofit sector in South Dakota. Through relationships developed with thousands of donors, grants have been made to all sizes of nonporift organizations over the past twenty-two years. From childcare services to senior citizen programs and domestic abuse shelters to affordable housing initiatives, the work of the South Dakota Community Foundation focuses on improving the quality of life for our residents. Whether the support comes from donor advised funds or the unrestricted SOUTH DAKOTA FUND, the ultimate beneficiaries are those receiving services from organizations in the state's most populated counties, and the most remote, rural communities.
