Sophie Parker fundraising for South Peninsula Jewish Teen Foundation

Now in my second year on the Jewish Teen Foundation, I serve on the Leadership Council. My life has been deeply affected by this organization, which is why I applied for a leadership position. Through the Teen Foundation, I have learned how to focus in and research a topic, how to lead using consensus, how to fundraise, and most importantly, how to allocate money to organizations that respond to our request for proposals. My involvement with the Teen Foundation has not only helped me to grow as a leader, but it has also empowered me to advocate for a better and just world and to actively work for change.
