Communities In Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. is an affiliate of Communities In Schools, Inc. (CIS), the leading dropout prevention organization in the country. Founded in 1977, CIS serves nearly 1.3 million elementary and secondary students in more than 3,400 schools in 25 states and the District of Columbia. CIS of Philadelphia is the largest of more than 181 independently incorporated CIS affiliates. Founded in 1986 as an extension of the School District of Philadelphia Office of Vocational Education, CIS of Philadelphia channels existing community resources to the students who need them most, meeting basic needs and applying the CIS “5 Basics” to help children prepare for life. We operate more than 25 programs and services that address academic preparedness, social services, vocational and post-secondary education, teen pregnancy, financial literacy and life skills. CIS of Philadelphia serves 10,000 students annually in approximately 50 elementary and secondary schools in the City of Philadelphia to assess needs and administer effective programs that change lives.

The Society of Goal Keepers collectively enables Communities In Schools of Philadelphia to provide tutoring, mentoring, leadership training, skill building, after school engagement, and many other resources students need to stay in school, graduate and prepare for the future. Your tax-deductible contribution in joining the Society of Goal Keepers is priceless because it directly supports programs and services that improve student performance and decrease dropout rates, thereby preparing more students for post-secondary education and the workforce and contributing to the health and growth of the greater Philadelphia region.

You can join the Society of Goal Keepers through three levels of giving:

GOAL KEEPERS are key players on the CIS of Philadelphia team. Goal Keepers contributing $1,000 or more receive:

• Acknowledgement on www.cisphl.org.
• Acknowledgement in the CIS of Philadelphia annual report and media materials.
• Invitations to donor recognition events, offering the opportunity to network with business and community leaders who share your commitment of support.
• Invitations to all CIS of Philadelphia student events, including My Compliments to the Chef, Philadelphia Freedom Schools Junior Servant Leader Symposium and more!

FORWARDS are responsible for most of a team’s scoring. Forwards contributing $500 to $999 receive:

• Acknowledgement on www.cisphl.org.
• Acknowledgement in the CIS of Philadelphia annual report and media materials.
• Invitations to donor recognition events, offering the opportunity to network with business and community leaders who share your commitment of support.
• Invitation to one CIS of Philadelphia student event, including My Compliments to the Chef, Philadelphia Freedom Schools Junior Servant Leader Symposium and more!

FINISHERS score! Finishers contributing $100 to $499 receive:

• Acknowledgements and invitations to donor recognition events.
