Soccer Balls for 10,000 children by World Cup 2010!!!
A project of GLOBAL FUTBOL INITIATIVE
GFI donates soccer balls to children living in poverty all around the world. We have set a goal to give 10,000 children access to a ball.
Global Futbol Initiative(GFI) is a non-profit charitable organization that supplies soccer balls to underprivileged youth throughout the world.
Since its inception in 2007, GFI has had an impact in over 50 communities in 22 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, South America, and Asia.
The goal of Global Futbol Initiative is to give every person on earth the opportunity to play futbol with the proper equipment. Despite the overwhelming popularity of soccer, many low income regions throughout the world do not have access to basic soccer balls. Even though soccer is just a sport, the universality of it has the ability to connect cultures, impact change, promote peace, and improve the quality of life for all humans.
In 2010, we are embarking on a global campaign to raise enough money to reach 10,000 children. With the World Cup being held in Africa for the first time, there has never been a better time to get involved and help everyone in the world enjoy soccer.
