Mission

Vision: Any community that needs a Sobriety High will have a Sobriety High. In realizing this vision, the school will become a national model for students recovering from chemical dependency. Mission: Sobriety High School provides adolescents recovering from alcohol and drug dependency a comprehensive, four-year high school diploma program in a safe, sober, and chemical-free environment.

Programs

The mission of Sobriety High is best fostered in a special environment -- our students and staff describe it more like a "family" or "community" with small classroom spaces, low student/teacher ratios (one teacher for every seven students), safe, intimate surroundings, and daily opportunities for intense group and one-on-one peer counseling. Our approach not only helps students establish a good foundation in sobriety, but also positions them for continued success beyond our doors. A 1997 survey of Sobriety High alumni (1991-1996) showed a phenomenal fifty-four percent remaining "clean and sober." Since 1996, we retained more than seventy percent of enrolled students and over ninety percent of all seniors, a sure indication that our hands-on blend of academic performance and recovery reinforcement is working.
