The Digital Inclusion program provides a free 8 hour training class & a free refurbished PC for Riverside households with income under $45K.
Since October 2006, Smart Riverside has provided almost 7,000 Riverside families with free training, refurbished computers with Microsoft Office Software, and a wireless access device that extends the free WiFi signal into their homes for free Internet access.
Smart Riverside's Digital Inclusion program utilizes Project Bridge (a gang intervention program) to mentor youth in skills to refurbish computers, collect e-waste and provide technical support for the families we serve.
It costs SmartRiverside about $107/PC to give away to each family. All donations will go directly to this program to serve our low income families. In addition to your donation, get a tax deduction and donate your e-waste and old vehicles which also helps defray our costs.
This program was recognized in 2012 as a world wide center of excellence and was one of 5 key indicators that enabled the City of Riverside to be named "Most Intelligent Community in the World for 2012"
Please donate to our cause and help us reach the additional 24,000 households in need. Visit us at 2801 Hulen Street or at www.smartriverside.org - 951-782-0849 . Tax ID #33-0894236
