Millie and Daisys quest to give back to the Rescue that saved there life and gave them a chance. Jimmy help too?!!!
Eric, Jimmy, Millie, Daisy and I are walking in the No Kill Walk for the Animals on May 4th at the State Fair grounds! We are walking for Secondhand Hounds. This fundraiser was huge last year- we raised over $11,000 to help save more animals! I hope you can help us to be just as successful this time! Every penny goes toward helping save animals who are truly in need. We love all dogs, but the more money we can raise, the more we can help dogs when others cannot afford it. I hope you see the worth in our rescue and will support us by giving a donation! Any amount would be appreciated — it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal. We will be sure to post pictures of Millie, her siblings and Jimmy all walking together to support the organization that gave her a chance at a new life.
Millie was a tiny girl, in a litter of 6, black and at only 8 weeks old was going to be euthanized in an Up North rural shelter until Secondhand Hounds stepped in and saved all 6 pups.
Daisy Mae is a survivor of an Amish Puppy Mill. She was given up only because her 6th litter only produced one pup and she was not profitable for them anymore. While in this breeder hell, an ulcer in her left eye ruptured causing her extreme pain and perminent blindness. This sad past has not stopped Daisy from smiling every day for her forever bright future with us. She is our round peg in the square hole and we love her dearly for that.
