Skewed Visions belongs to the long tradition that sees art as a fiercely independent response to reality. Not content with old ideas of what a theater experience should be, Skewed Visions begins with site-specific performance and from there moves to change the landscape of daily life. From our 1997 installation in an office storefront window to our 2004 award-winning trilogy "The City Itself" (a performance in a house, an audio tour called "Side Walk," and performances in three moving cars on the streets of Minneapolis) to our 2009 Odyssey through St Paul's Mac-Groveland neighborhood, to our latest online curated performance series, Skewed Visions not only brought site-specific performance to the Twin Cities, but continues to open doors and minds to thinking differently.
