Please help us achieve our goal of providing education for at least 2 Siembra Pre-School students.
“Quality pre-school education instills a life of opportunity," says lawyer and community supporter Miluska Novota. "That's why I've decided to make a $1,000 matching gift to Siembra to kick-off Centro's Give MN Campaign in 2010."
Will you join Ms. Novota?
Siembra is Centro's nationally accredited pre-school education program serving low-income Latino students ages 3 to 5 in Minneapolis. Siembra's full-day, dual language, evidence-based curriculum has proven extremely successful in preparing low-income Latino students for Kindergarten. Without quality pre-school education, research shows that students are much more likely to drop out of high school, become more susceptible to crime, and public dependence.
Yet hundreds of young students--students like three-year-old Lesly Reyes and Christopher Vazquez--might never receive pre-school education without help from friends like Ms. Novota.
Centro must raise over $300,000 a year to operate the Siembra Pre-School Program. Yet, 95% of Siembra students come from families that cannot afford the full tuition.
However, with support from local foundations and individual donors like Miluska Novota, Lesly and Christopher do attend Siembra.
Won't you please step up and join Miluska in helping 35 students at Centro receive the quality pre-school education they need. Donations of: $1,000 will be rewarded with Centro's heart. $500 will earn you a leather heart journal.
$250 will earn you a vibrant 2011 Centro Calendar featuring art from our youth program. $100 will earn you a Centro mug.
"Thanks for joining me in helping our future generation--students like Christopher and Lesly."
All donations are tax deductible.
