This year I am participating, along with a group of high school students from the East Bay, in the East Bay Jewish Teen Foundation (EBJTF). As part of the EBJTF we get to learn about how the foundation and donation process works while choosing a cause that is really important to us and raising money to fund oragnizations that help it. This year we chose to fund orginazations that help disadvatedges youth in the East Bay and Israel recieve the nessesary support and education to thrive in modern society.

Our mission statment is: "The East Bay Jewish Teen Foundation will fund organizations that provide a safe and healthy environment and innovative educational opportunities in order to promote self-empowerment and stable foundation for disadvantaged youth primarily in the East Bay and in Israel."

This is really important to me because I think all children deseve a strong foundation that will help them lead succesfull lives. I am so grateful for my childhood and can't even imagine what it would be like to have no home, no family, no food, and no more hope. I want to be able to put a smile on the faces of children in desprete need of someone to love them and give a future to those who think their is no hope left.
