Vinland's successful program has created demand, and it is time to invest in facilities: New kitchen, physical therapy, and more beds.

Please Join or Pledge me for Vinland's Winter Walkabout on Sat. Feb. 19th, 2011!

Vinland National Center, located in Loretto, MN, was inspired by a Norwegian with a similar program called Beitostolen in Norway in the 70's, and our family went to Beitostolen to attend a handicapped ski race to support Vinland in 2008. Vinland serves people with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and chemical dependency issues. As many of you know, TBI people are close to my heart because my twin sister Kristin lived for 16 years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1977, and others in our family have grappled with chemical dependency as well.

As a BOD member, my goal in 2011 is to raise $2500 to help Vinland expand and update their facilities. If you would like to support the cause, please make an online donation here or register to join me for the day at www.winterwalkabout.org.
