Earthquake in Chile

I am doing a 1-year internship in Chile with Bright Hope, an organization dedicated to bringing Hope to those living on less than $1 a day.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to check out my page! I am so excited about this upcoming opportunity and would love to share with you what it’s all about!

Last year, I graduated from Emory University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Global Health, Culture, and Society. I have always had a passion for serving and began looking for international positions where I could use my education and language skills to help those in need. When I came across the opportunity with Bright Hope International, I knew it was the perfect fit. In April, I was accepted into their Internship Program, and committed to living and working in the field in Santiago, Chile for the next year!

A LITTLE ABOUT BRIGHT HOPE INTERNATIONAL. Bright Hope is a Christian, international relief and development agency dedicated to bringing Hope to those living on less than $1 a day. Their mission is to provide Hope for Today, such as medical assistance, disaster relief and clean water, Hope for Tomorrow, through job creation, educational programs and microfinance projects, and Hope for Eternity by offering spiritual support and pastor training. Bright Hope partners with 950 in-country churches located in impoverished communities and rural villages in 9 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING? In Santiago, I will be working alongside Mark Lennox, the Director of South America for Bright Hope. His current community development projects in Chile, Bolivia, and Peru have really begun to take off in the past year, and Mark needs assistance maintaining and developing these projects, as well as implementing new initiatives in areas of need. Check out the photos above of current projects and those in need of support!

WHY I NEED YOUR HELP! As a Bright Hope Intern, it is my responsibility to raise support for my trip and the projects I will be working on. This is where you come in. I want to invite you to be a part of my support team. I would love to share my experiences with you, and give you the opportunity to be involved in Bright Hope’s projects in South America. Along with your prayers, I need to raise $15,000 to cover travel costs and project expenses for a full year. Any and all donations will make an impact! Please consider making a monthly pledge or a one-time special donation to support my work in Chile.

THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING BEING A PART OF MY SUPPORT TEAM!
