Your generous donations can help me go to Africa. Your support will help us be the hands and feet of Jesus to these people in need of love.
Good day to you all!
Feeling that God wasn't finished with me in the global mission field after returning from Haiti last July, I applied to be apart of the 2012 Global Outreach teams from my home church, Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV), in San Dimas, CA. It was because of a lot of your gracious donations this past year that I was able to go to Haiti. I am absolutely grateful for your selfless actions. Looking forward, I have been chosen to and have humbly accepted a position to the first team from CCV departing to Harare, Zimbabwe, Africa, in June 2012. Our team consists of 9 young men and women eager to get out of the comforts of materialism and safe surroundings and dedicate their lives for a short time in southern Africa to being the hands and feet of Jesus and loving on others like Jesus continues to love on us daily. We will be serving with missionary Denford Chizanga and the African Development Mission Trust (ADMT) through construction, feeding programs, and school rehabilitation projects, among other tasks.
Above anything, I ask for PRAYER for the team. In the Bible, Jesus tells us that where two or more gather in His name, there He will be also (Matthew 18:20). When in times of comfort or times of crisis, prayer is always the answer. God gives us a 24-hour direct line of communication with Him so that we may use it, not hide it in our pocket. First and foremost, please pray that God's will be done, not ours. Also, pray for guidance, wisdom, and compassion-- that our actions would reflect the love that Christ would have shown these people.
In addition to prayer, your financial support would be greatly appreciated. Each team member of my team has to meet a financial obligation of $3500. Especially in economic times that may not be ideal, I realize that it may be hard to make a financial contribution, or one may think that their contribution would be too small and wouldn't make a dent in the final tally. I am a firm believer that pennies make dollars and dollars pay bills. Whether you are able to contribute $1 or $1000, I cannot say thank you enough. May God reward your selfless behavior.
I appreciate your time and energy just for opening this page and reading through this letter. Thank you so much for your support and remember that no amount will go without notice. I am forever grateful. May God bless each and every one of you.
"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him."
