School Concerts

Hearing excellent live performances of good music is vital for young children to develop an interest in classical music. Many of the professional groups on our concert series come to St. Cloud a day or two in advance and visit local schools. (In fact, many of them tell us their own first exposure to good music was through school visits just like the ones they are doing now!) In this photo the Imani Winds, a woodwind quintet made up of musicians of color, play for elementary school children in the small town of Richmond, MN as part of a week of residency activities arranged by the Chamber Music Society.
