Recognizing outstanding high school seniors

For nearly its entire history, the Twin Cities chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League has annually recognized high school and college students through its scholarship program.

In May 2009, the chapter awarded 14 scholarships totaling $15,000 to members who were high school graduates. The scholarship applications were evaluated based on scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities, community service and an essay titled "The Value of Further Education."

Donations enable the scholarship program to continue to support outstanding graduates.

Years ago I was able to go to college with the help of a Twin Cities JACL scholarship. My son also received one. Thanks!
