Yo-Yo came to us during a time of need. She was covered in open wounds from being attacked by another dog and has a softball-sized tumor dangling from her hind leg. When I first met her, her eyes were full of sadness and confusion. She was unsure of what was going on and what would be happening next. As soon as I called her name, her little tail started wagging and it was almost as if she had smiled. Her face was so innocent, I knew we had to do what ever it takes to help her.

Though she had many wounds, her tumor was what worried us the most. After the vet examined her, he gave us some unfortunate news. The tumor is a mast cell tumor and is full of cancer. As long as it hasn't spread throughout her leg/body, we would be able to remove the tumor and hope that it never returns. We knew we had a big decision to make as this would be an expensive operation and her chances are uncertain...but it's a chance we are willing to take.

We've only spent a week with Yo-Yo, but we can already see just how sweet, affectionate and full of love she is. She's the kind of dog you never forget, the kind you want to hold in your arms forever and tell her that everything will be okay.
