Thousands of homeless cats and dogs desperately need our help to save their lives. Please won't you help?

With the current state of the economy, we are now in need of donations more than ever to help fund our rescue and spay & neuter programs. We are an all volunteer organization, which means that 100% of donations to Saving Shelter Pets (SSP) goes directly to the animals!

OUR PROGRAMS:

Our Rescue & Transport Program focuses on saving cats and dogs from high-kill shelters in the Southeastern US and moving them to safe, no-kill rescues in the Northeast. All animals receive full medical care and are quarantined at a boarding facility or in foster care until they are healthy to travel. We use professional transporters to transfer the animals safely from the Southeast to the Northeast, where they have a much better opportunity for adoption. All veterinary, boarding, and transport costs are paid by SSP thanks to the generous donations of people like you!

SSP also operates an innovative program called Puppy Promises that not only rescues puppies, but also spays their mother to help reduce pet overpopulation.

Our Bernies Buddies program helps to treat heartworm positive dogs that are saved through our Rescue & Transport program.

Our newest program is Spay & Neuter, which offers financial assistance to low-income pet owners in several Ohio and Georgia counties.

    the work of these caring individuals to help save pets is tremendous. they help to give these pets a voice & a better life which they all deserve, no pet should EVER go to a shelter.

    SSP is an amazing group doing great things!! Not only do they save dogs/puppies from high kill shelters down south, they also have the Puppy Promises Program which is very much needed and more people need to do. Please help this awesome group win!!!

    I volunteer for a dog rescue called Our Pal's Place in Marietta, GA and the animal overpopulation problem in GA is staggering. SSP makes a huge difference by helping get puppies out of GA shelters and into loving homes! -Kelly P.

    This organization rescues shelter dogs from "death row" and transports them to shelters in other parts of the country that do not have an influx of dogs. It is a WONDERFUL cause.

    Saving Shelter Pets. INC is a great cause that will always be in need. I am unable to foster as my home is full of foster's, so I like to help others in any way when I can.
