Save Sea Turtles

I'm interested in saving sea turtles because I think they are fascinating animals. One day I went to the Gumbo Limbo nature center and I saw sea turtles for the first time. They were so cool, but when I heard that Sea turtles were endangered I felt so bad for them. I wanted to make a difference and help them. They get hurt badly from many terrible things that happen to them. It's very sad. To begin with, sea turtles get caught in fishing nets when people are fishing. Also when baby sea turtles hatch from their eggs they try to follow the moonlight into the ocean. But sometimes the sea turtles are attracted to street lights and start walking there. Finally, some sea turtle eggs are taken by people from the beach before they have a chance to hatch. So please help me raise money for them. The more money we make the bigger the difference we make. =)

The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is doing a lot to help save the sea turtles. They have a sea turtle hospital. During this winter they have had more hurt sea turtles than they usually have in one year because of the recent cold weather in South Florida. They are taking care of the turtles as best as they can. Also when baby sea turtles hatch from eggs Gumbo Limbo makes sure that they are safe too and don’t walk into streets. Volunteers and employees of the nature center also make sure that the baby sea turtle eggs don’t get stolen. The nature center also has programs that kids and adults can go to and learn about sea turtles.
