Rethink Malibu Lagoon
A project of Sea Save Foundation
Malibu Lagoon residents include the federally listed endangered tidewater, additional threatened species and myriad other animals.
Bulldozers are scheduled to tear up the mature ecosystem at Malibu Lagoon on June 1. Malibu City Council has voted unanimously to sent a letter to the State of California voicing their objections to the current project.
This is the home to the federally listed endangered tidewater goby and other threatened animals. It is the nightly roosting spot for hundreds of coastal birds, one of the final havens for coastal animals in Southern California.
We need to let Sacramento leaders know that do not want them spending millions of dollars on a project that is not supported by the community.
