Team FEA is running in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile run, raising money for FEA's study abroad scholarships! Help me reach my goal!

Anyone who has met me knows that two of my biggest passions are running and studying abroad. I'm combining those two passions for a good cause! I plan to run the Cherry Blossom 10-mile race to help support students who might not otherwise have the chance to study abroad.

I was fortunate to participate in international education in Europe and Latin America with the financial support of my family. Not all students are so lucky! Studying abroad can give students skills to make them more employable after graduation and inspire them to make a difference in the world. Studying abroad certainly changed the course of my life, and I'd like to give other people the same opportunity!

Here are a few national facts about study abroad:

•Top 4 study abroad destinations are in Western Europe

•Just 22% of study abroad students are minorities, but minorities make up 36% of the student population in higher education

•The majority of study abroad students study abroad for 8 weeks or less.

•Community college students make up less than 3% of the study abroad population

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to increasing both the number and diversity of students who study abroad.
