Walk your paws for a cause! 2012 Susan Perry Memorial Walk and 5K run will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Prairie's Edge Humane Society has been helping homeless animals for over 25 years. PEHS is one of the few "open door" shelters still in operation, meaning we take them all! No animal is turned away because of behavior, health, or space. PEHS has helped over 12,000 animals since it's beginning in 1986. In this past year alone, over 1000 animals were helped. All animals receive, medical care, are spayed/neutered, housed until they find their forever homes, and given much love during their stay with PEHS. All animals are also microchipped before they leave the shelter so if they are ever lost again, they stand a better chance of being reunited with their owner. PEHS currently serves communities from the South Metro, to St. Peter, to Rochester and everything in between. We also provide many services to the community as well, with microchipping and nail trim clinics, low cost spay/neuter assistance, dog and puppy training classes, rest home and nursing home visits, educational opportunities, volunteer opportunities and much, much more! Providing all of these services and caring for so many homeless animals is very costly. Won't you help by donating to our Walk for the Animals?
