Challah for Hunger National Leadership Summit

My involvement in CfH began around this time last year. My friend Jenn, another current board member, and I decided that we wanted to become more involved in organizations through Hillel. We wanted an organization that a) kept with Jewish traditions, b) allowed us to help others through our work, and c) would be a good relaxing way to spend time outside of the library! Very quickly we found that CfH met and even surpassed all of these expections. By the time board elections came around last winter Jenn and I knew that we wanted to become more involved and join the University of Michigan CfH board. And luckily I secured my position as Advocacy Chair! My goal is to help raise awareness about the national CfH cause-sending provisions and relief to Darfur and Sudan through the AJWS-in addition to raising awareness about our chapter's monthly cause. By attending the CfH National Leadership Summit in Austin I hope to not only learn how to better lead my chapter, but also I will learn additional techinques on how to present the CfH causes to other students at U of M. However, travel expenses from the University of Michigan to the summit in Austin can add up giving our chapter the obstacle of picking who can attend the summit. I'm asking that you can help me to fund this trip and afford me the opportunity to participate in such an inspiring experience.
