The EBJTF is raising money to help disadvantaged youth in the East Bay and Israel through self-empowerment to promote a stable future.
This year, I joined the EBJTF. One of the first things we did as a group was go on a weekend-long retreat where we heard from several non-profit organizations about their causes. The one that spoke to me, and the rest of my foundation, the most was about impoverished youth in San Francisco. We heard from 4 teenagers, only a year or two older than me, who had been through challenges that I could never imagine going through. These young men and women had been kicked out of their homes, lived on the streets, struggled with drugs and alcohol, turned to prostitution, dropped out of high school, and spent time in jail. Hearing their stories made me want to help teenagers and children who are facing similar hardships. So as a foundation we have decided to raise money to donate to carefully selected organizations in our two "homes", the East Bay and Israel. Any donation you can make will help a child or teenager to change their life for the better.
