Help Me Save Lives!

Hi Friends! It’s time for the annual Austin Pets Alive Save-A-Life-Drive and this year my goal is to save the lives of 10 dogs or cats by raising $1,000! I received such unbelievable support from all of you last year that I know I can achieve this!

I have been a volunteer with APA! for about a year and a half now and they never cease to amaze me with what they do for Austin’s homeless animals. Thanks to the never ending, heroic efforts of this organization, 3,227 local animals were saved in 2010 and the goal for 2011 is even bigger. But the animals keep arriving at the shelter every day and it is up to us to help support APA! in their mission.

Remember that every single animal that comes to APA has been pulled from the euthanasia list at Town Lake Animal Center. About 90 percent of the animals taken in by APA! are injured, ill, or traumatized and require extra medical attention or extra time to adjust to life outside the shelter setting. From dogs hit by cars to little 7 day old kittens, APA! tries to save each one. Most of these animals have never known love. They have spent their lives neglected or abused and often abandoned and left to fend for themselves. THEY DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE! Austin Pets Alive gives them this chance but they need our help.

Please help me save 10 animals this year and give them the gift of a forever home to call their own. Thank you!
