The Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation creates the environment in which a great city, Saint Paul, is being built -- today. The Riverfront Corporation, with our many partners and investors, elevates Saint Paul’s quality of life and stimulates economic vitality by championing innovative, sustainable urban design principles for the city and its river valley – and by engaging the community in the design process.
The Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation leads projects and initiatives that facilitate Saint Paul's continued renaissance. We have architects, urban planners, policy experts, transportation specialists, and many others on our team working with private developers, local and state government, neighborhood groups, and environmental organizations to look ahead and identify opportunities now that will lead to the best Saint Paul possible in the decades ahead.
The Riverfront Corporation is unique in its ability to balance economic development goals with environmental stewardship, finding common ground and common values amidst the varied interests and missions of its partners. The organization is recognized for its success in bringing together diverse entities at the beginning of a potential development project in order to ensure broad community support and the best possible outcome.
The Riverfront Corporation has provided leadership on a number of projects, including: station area planning for the Central Corridor light rail line; improving the water quality of the Mississippi River in Saint Paul; Great River Park Master Planning, in collaboration with the City of Saint Paul; the annual Great River Gathering, which brings together 1,000 people to celebrate Saint Paul; CityHouse, restoration of the St. Paul Municipal Grain Terminal into a river's edge venue; Harriet Island Regional Park; Landmark Plaza; and the Upper Landing neighborhood.
All of this progress has been possible because of generous support from individuals and institutions that understand the importance of planning the future of Saint Paul today. The Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation is a private, nonprofit organization funded by charitable gifts from people just like you. We are grateful for this generosity and forethought.
