Ryan is running the Boston Marathon in 2012 and with your help I’d like to raise money for America SCORES.

I am running my first Boston Marathon in 2012 and with your help I’d like to raise money for America SCORES in the process. The team goal is $116,000 in honor of the 116th Boston Marathon. I've been asked to raise $4,000, but hopefully can exceed this.

For those unfamiliar, America SCORES Boston is an after-school program (a high-risk time of day for kids) that uses a combination of soccer, writing, creative expression, and service-learning to encourage youth to live healthy lives, and be confident, engaged students.

I played soccer through high school and currently coach my son's first grade soccer team. And yes, I focused on running in college when it became clear basic coordination skills were a challenge for me. But team sports have had a positive impact on me and I am excited to run on behalf of an organization focused on helping Boston youth get the most out of the educational and extra-curricular opportunities available.

I am working to finish Boston 2012 under 3 hours. With your help, we can make a positive impact along the way. Thank you.
