The Wounded Warrior Family Foundation helps the families of the seriously wounded veterans! http://www.WoundedWarriorFamilyFoundation.com
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
Wounded Warriors Family Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to military families of those who have been wounded or killed during combat.
Last January, I made a New Years Resolution to run a marathon. As a part of this resolution (and keeping me motivated), I also wanted to raise money to help the military families of wounded veterans.
My goal is to raise $1,000 to help support this great cause. Please join me today by making a donation!
Thanks in advance for your help!
MORE ABOUT THE CHARITY (From their Razoo page):
Founded in Alabama and active throughout the State and growing strong through Georgia and Florida, The Foundation strives to insure that every spouse and child of our severely wounded and killed military and civilian heroes have access to education and training necessary to provide family unity and happiness and make right the tremendous fear and apprehension that encompasses them. We also help with primary and secondary education financial help as well as financial grants that may be needed for counseling, employment and retraining where necessary to upgrade employment qualifications. Scholarships are awarded based on need and qualification. To relieve or help to relieve the post traumatic stress syndrome and the danger of suicide suffered by many of them by focusing on education, physical fitness and sports. A partner Foundation, The Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama, periodically flies military families free into Birmingham for disability training and fitness events; and we are able to also provide our services to the spouses and children of those families. In this way they will be able to see more clearly a bright future that is lacking after disaster strikes. WE WILL PREVAIL and reach out to as many as possible. Every State in the USA has military bases, military hospitals and Reserve and National Guard Units that can provide beneficiaries to our Foundation for these services.
Specifically, we offer professional rehab and counseling, primary and secondary education assistance, scholarships, retraining of spouses to upgrade their income potential; and financial assistance to support any or all of these needs. With limited funds we are arranging scholarships for two children of a single amputee, a double amputee, brain injured veteran and several more lined up for help. We are active primarily in Alabama and growing. We will accept beneficiaries not only from Alabama but nationwide. If there is a military base or hospital, or a VA presence then we are connected and can service those areas as well as all areas that may have a seriously wounded vet needing our services. Please see a list of recent Foundation activities, accomplishments and testimonials on the Mission/testimonials page of the web site.
