Mike & Janice Dimond fundraising for Feed My Starving Children


We are on a journey to run a half marathon in all 50 states and want to make a difference in the world while doing it.

  • We have completed 11 states. Up Next: The "Giant Run" In San Francisco
  • My trip to Kenya introduced me to such beautiful, smart children!
  • Many of these children will not live to the age of 5.
  • The garbage city of Dandora is where these people live and work.
  • We were given a tour of the neighborhood these children lived in.
  • This is a horrid place to raise a child, broken glass, garbage, human sewage fill the alleyways.
  • Such a sweet little girl, hanging on to a filthy rag doll! I wanted to take her with me.
  • These sweethearts scavange through the garbage, looking for food.
  • A young lady who appreciates the education she's been given.
  • We all have a dream.....
  • During our trip to Haiti, I witnessed this great work, first hand.
  • We were greeted in Haiti with smiles and hugs at "Love A Child"
  • Beautiful children, warm and welcoming
  • The food lines form at the village of LeTant
  • Handing out a 35lb box of food - enough for a month
  • Weighing and measuring malnurished babies
  • I found a snuggle buddy
  • Enjoying a healthy and nutritious meal at an orphanage in Port Au Prince
  • My son and I make a new friend

We are asking for your support to donate $10 each time we complete a race. At a rate of about one race per month, we should complete our journey in about 4 years. If you commit to donate $10/race, that is only a total of $500 over the course of 4 years. Our goal is to have 50 people commit to this journey with us by donating. That would amount to $25,000 raised - which would provide over 108,000 meals or, enough to feed nearly 300 kids for a full year.
