Rosemount Elementary School - a fun and exciting place for kids to learn where students are responsible, respectful, positive and safe.
Successful reader? Struggling reader?
Literacy success is the foundation to high levels of school achievement and lifelong learning. Personalized reading instruction for each child helps them through the areas of literacy learning that challenge them. Can you see the joy in the face of a child when the light bulb suddenly goes on?!
A new literacy initiative at Rosemount Elementary School and throughout District 196 has been launched to help provide personalized reading instruction for all kids. Children become active participants in their reading instruction with assessments that help guide each student's literacy instruction and monitor achievement. All kids use a variety of strategies and actions to process printed text, and this program allows teachers to focus on the areas that each child needs specific help with to achieve that next level of comprehension and fluency.
Reading is the foundation for all learning, and RES is committed to using the dollars raised on Give to the Max day to support our new literacy initiative. Please consider a gift on Thursday, November 15th and remember, your gift will be MATCHED dollar for dollar by The First State Bank of Rosemount!
