Our Team's mission is to produce quality recreational, health, and educational programming for MA citizens of all ages and abilities.
I am honored to say that I will be running in the 2013 Boston Marathon with the Bay State Games charity team once again!
I ran Boston for the first time last year, which just so happened to be one of the hottest Boston Marathons on record. Mother Naure graced us with temperatures in the high 80's without a lick of wind or a cloud in the sky. With the option to defer my number, I decided to brace the heat and give it my all. Regardless of the brutal conditions, it was by far one of the best days of my life.
As I enter the new year, I am hungry and ready to take on the 2013 Boston Marathon with high hopes of better conditions. However, in order to run, I need YOUR help. One of the programs that is supported through the Bay State Games is the Massachussets Amateur Sports Foundation, which distributes grants and scholarships to individuals and schools to support physical education and athletics.
Fitness makes up a great deal of my life, and I strongly believe that it is one of the core components of overall well-being. With my experience through athletics, competition and working in the fitness industry, I have a strong affinity for promoting health and wellness. My passion for fitness has shaped who I am, and I hope to better lives and give people the same opportunities I had.
Please consider contributing to this charity and help me reach my goal of raising $4,500 by April 15th. Running for such a worthy cause makes this experience that much more rewarding.
I appreciate your support, and please forward this message to anyone else who may be interested in donating as well. Thank you SO much!
