We will be traveling to Promise Home Orphanage in Honduras to complete construction projects and for outreach in the town.
Genesis Metro, in Frisco, TX, partnered several years ago with a team of people aiming to build a self-sustaining orphanage near the village of El Progresso, Honduras.
I was blessed 2 years ago with the opportunity to spend a week doing various construction projects on Promise Home property as well as reaching out to the children in the village and at Nueva Esperanza, the state run orphanage in San Pedro Sula. It is from this (far below adequate) orphanage that many children will come to live at Promise Home - hopefully within this year!
The trip was eye-opening and life-changing to us in many ways and before I even left, I was determined to return.
I am currently planning - God-willing - to go back to Honduras with Genesis Metro this Spring Break. While there we will conduct several VBSs in neighboring village schools, work on construction projects that need to be completed on Promise Home property, and spend some time loving on the children at Nueva Esperanza.
I believe that, as God has called me to this ministry, he will also provide the funds that are necessary through family and friends. We appreciate anything you may feel led to contribute!
If you want to hear more about the work being done through Promise Home and my experiences there or my mission trips to Russia, I would love to share with you!<!-- /.description --><!-- END Gallery/Description Container --><!-- /.gutter -->
