Chrissy’s Story
It doesn’t seem that long ago when my life was a complete mess. I was pregnant with no support, feeling scared and lost. The father of the baby told me that he didn’t care about me or the baby and wanted nothing to do with us. I had nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
When I walked into the Robbinsdale Women’s Center, I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist. As soon as she asked me how I was doing I broke down and cried. The next thing I knew she was holding me and four other staff members surrounded me and told me that everything would be alright. It was such a good feeling to know that someone would listen to me and care for me!
I decided to keep my baby the moment I saw him on the ultrasound. I experienced an unrecognizable joy and an instant love for my baby that I couldn’t compare to anything else. My boyfriend came in for my next ultrasound and experienced many of the same feelings that I had. Yes, that same boyfriend that wanted nothing to do with us had changed. The Footprints program helped me prepare emotionally and physically for parenthood; but most importantly, it helped strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ.
I am eternally grateful to the Robbinsdale Women Center for their encouragement and dedication to see that my baby and I were cared for. I appreciate the follow-up phone calls that I received during my pregnancy and the many prayers that gave me strength to get through each day.
At one time, my life felt upside down and my future uncertain; but now, I see that through my weakness God is strong and He can turn a crisis into a blessing! I’m in love with the son, Damian, that God blessed me with and I’m in love with my boyfriend that I’m marrying next month! God is so good!

The primary goal of Robbinsdale Women's Center is to save the lives of unborn children. This Christ-centered ministry does this through the provision of emotional, physical, educational and spiritual support to women and their partners who are going through difficult/unwanted/crisis pregnancies. They are located across the street from the abortion clinic in Robbinsdale and many babies have been saved because their Mothers came to the "wrong" door. Praise the Lord!
